The BLUEFOX-Lifeline wristcomputer is an independent product which does not require further installation. It is a safety bracelet and is meant to be used in all kinds of water environments. The Lifeline is an electronic, high-tech minicomputer which gives an early alarm should somebody be in danger in the water and helps prevent a drowning incident.
For each person wearing the BLUEFOX-Lifeline, a monitoring bracelet is pre-programmed with a personal alarm depth and alarm time, according to the user’s swimming ability. Programming is simple and upon receipt of your order instructions will be automatically provided to you.
When the user enters the water, the BLUEFOX-Lifeline monitoring bracelet automatically switches on. The Lifeline constantly monitors the depth of the person in the water. If this person remains too long under a defined depth, the alarm capsule containing a bright red balloon will be released from the bracelet and travel to the water surface at a speed of three-feet-per-second.
The non-flammable, non-toxic gas which fills the balloon is stored in the alarm capsule. When an alarm ignition starts, the valve in the capsule opens, the gas evaporates and fills the balloon. The enlarging balloon presses the alarm capsule presses out of the bracelet base unit and goes immediately to the water surface.
An acoustic siren in the balloon will sound a 100-decibel alarm (similar to a lawn mower, siren or motorcycle), alerting others that a swimmer is in trouble. The alarm will sound for at least three minutes. The bracelet remains on the wrist and an integrated power LED flashes and shows the position of the swimmer, even in cloudy or dark water.
The alarm capsule must be replaced after an alarm. This can be done easily by slightly pressing a new capsule into the holder. Additional alarm capsules may be ordered www.safewristband.com.
